Minecraft Commands Guide

Full reference of Minecraft Java Edition 1.21 commands with syntax and examples. Enable cheats first, then type / in chat to run any command below.

Player & Movement

Command	Description	Example
/tp	Teleport a player to coordinates or another entity.	/tp @s 100 64 -200
/gamemode	Change gamemode (survival, creative, adventure, spectator).	/gamemode creative
/kill	Instantly kill the target entity.	/kill @e[type=zombie]
/spawnpoint	Set the spawn point of a player.	/spawnpoint @s ~ ~ ~

/give	Give any item to a player, with optional NBT/components.	/give @s diamond_sword 1
/clear	Clear a player's inventory or specific items.	/clear @s cobblestone
/enchant	Apply an enchantment to the item in hand.	/enchant @s sharpness 5

/time set	Set the world time (day, night, noon, midnight or ticks).	/time set day
/weather	Change the weather (clear, rain, thunder).	/weather clear
/setblock	Place a block at specific coordinates.	/setblock ~ ~1 ~ stone
/fill	Fill a cuboid region with a block.	/fill ~ ~ ~ ~10 ~10 ~10 glass
/difficulty	Set world difficulty (peaceful, easy, normal, hard).	/difficulty hard

/gamerule	Toggle a gamerule (keepInventory, doDaylightCycle, etc.).	/gamerule keepInventory true

Utility clients like Vape V4, Krypton and Novoline add features vanilla commands can't — KillAura, X-Ray, Fly and server-specific bypasses.
