What bhop is
In vanilla Minecraft, sprint-jumping gives you a slight forward boost on each jump. Bhop automates the jump timing so every step lands a boost, and often modifies the ground-tick check so the server thinks you're still on solid blocks. The result is a smooth speed increase without the flag that flat speed hacks trigger.
Why bhop is preferred over flat speed
Speed modules multiply your walk vector — anti-cheats notice immediately. Bhop is subtler because each individual jump is legal; only the pattern is suspicious. On servers with light anti-cheat (most SMPs, most anarchy) bhop passes cleanly. On Watchdog and Vulcan you'll still get flagged unless you tune it hard.
Best bhop modules
Meteor Speed (Bhop mode) — reliable free option.
Rise AutoJump + Sprint — clean, quiet.
Vape V4 Sprint — bhop-style acceleration, Watchdog-safe.
Krypton Speed — DonutSMP-tuned.
Bhop settings that survive anti-cheat
Cap boost at ~1.3× vanilla speed. Randomise jump timing by 1-2 ticks. Disable in water and lava. Turn off while sneaking or blocking. Combine with LegitSprint (which just holds ctrl for you) rather than packet-level Sprint that can double-flag.
Bhop for parkour and travel
Bhop isn't just for combat — long-haul travel on anarchy servers is where it shines. Chain it with Baritone in Meteor Client and you'll cross 50,000 blocks noticeably faster than plain sprint-swim-boat routing.
